Start my free claim checkNo. Fairweather Group Ltd, trading as claim.co.uk, is a claims management company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We use your answers to see whether we can introduce you to one regulated personal injury solicitor, who deals with the legal side.
Most employers must by law hold insurance that covers injury claims from staff. If another driver caused a crash, the claim is usually made against their insurer.
Yes. The check is free, and there is no obligation to do anything afterwards. You are never billed by us for the check or for the introduction.
Claims taken forward by the solicitor are handled on a No Win No Fee basis, which usually means you do not pay their fee if the claim does not succeed. The solicitor sets out their exact fee in writing before you agree to anything. Ask them whether After the Event insurance is included, and the circumstances in which you could have to pay costs, such as not cooperating with them or not being truthful. If you win, the solicitor's fee is usually taken from your compensation. The statement at the foot of this page sets out the most our legal panel will charge.
No. You are free to approach a solicitor directly, or to pursue a personal injury claim yourself for free. For lower-value road traffic injuries in England and Wales, you may be able to claim yourself through the Official Injury Claim service without using a solicitor or a claims management company. Some people simply want a plain-English check first, which is what we offer.
Yes. Personal injury claims in England and Wales must be started within strict time limits, generally running from the accident or from when you became aware your injury was connected to it. Different rules apply where the claim is for a child, or for an adult who cannot manage their own affairs. Because of that, checking sooner rather than later is sensible, and the check itself costs nothing. We can help with accidents in the last two years. If your accident was longer ago you may still be in time, so you may want to speak to a solicitor directly.
Start with a few quick questions. There is no obligation to go any further, and no charge either way.
